Italy is reporting a sharp decline in coronavirus patients in ICU. “At the beginning of the epidemic, each infected person was spreading the virus to three other people. Thanks to the lockdown, it’s now down to under one”.
I got into the lockdown flow today. Slept in and woke up slowly. No need to rush out of bed to get things done. There’s time.
Some morning chores, but not too many, followed by an easy gnocchi lunch in the garden, and then an afternoon focusing deeply for hours on a coding project without distraction. It’s so nice to be able to focus. Time was once a luxury and an extravagance, but now it is a guarantee. This part I like. Then a hard power yoga flow to get the blood moving again and some more groceries arrived.
40 days ago, even a month ago, I never would have believed that I would be home for 40 days. April has flown by. Yet yesterday, when there was sun, also feels like it was 10 years ago. Today is cloudy.
Our kitchen light died at the start of lockdown and there were some lightbulb delivery issues, but today we have regained quality kitchen light! It’s a revelation to entirely see what you are cooking.
Farro flakes with raisins for breakfast. Gnocchi with sardines and arugula for lunch. Roberto made pita to go with the leftover shredded chicken, maple coleslaw and roasted vegetables for dinner, and we added prosciutto to aid in digestion. I also opened a decent bottle of Barbaresco because it is Saturday night.
